15 extremists killed in Orakzai Agency clash

PESHAWAR: At least 15 extremists were killed and 22 others arrested in clashes with security forces in Orazai Agency, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to sources, intense clash between the security forces and extremists occurred in Upper Orakzai Agency area of Khuey Dadkhel.

At least nine extremists were gunned down in the ensuing exchange of fire and two security personnel were injured.

Also, 22 extremists were nabbed along with their weapons.

Meantime, the extremists attacked a security forces check post early in the morning in Lower Orazai Agency area of Chapri Ferozkhel, resulting in partial damage to the check post. However, six extremists were shot down in the retaliatory action by the forces. Also, three vehicles of the saboteurs were destroyed.

Other confederates of the extremists managed to flee the scene.
